xbox network with epic games

I feel like I should take this to epic support but I've already tried and it directs me to this ai and it's honestly not helping anymore.

The issue I'm having is that whenever I try to link my xbox network to epic games, I get an error saying "there was an error processing the credentials from the external login system".

I don't know if this is a Microsoft or Xbox issue but I tried it on my xbox console on explore and my link worked, but when I logged into the same epic account, my xbox account wasn't connected so I'm just confused on what else I need to do or how to fix it.

Have you checked to see if servers are down for either epic or xbox? Could be the issue, if not then you might want to check if the information you put in is invalid.

THANK you for actually telling me this, I totally forgot these existed. unfortunately epic games has log in issues atm.

Epic games servers aren't the best tbh, they tend to have a lot of issues especially when it comes down to linking accounts and logging in

out of all the things I've done, nothing has worked, till I tried doing it through explorer on my xbox and it actually worked, finally used my fortnite card and bought vbucks just for me not to see it, account isn't linked, and money was spent

I still have the receipt but hopefully once I can link my account I get the vbucks

np. I try to help with epic games issues as much as i can since something similar happened to me in a way where i couldnt log in to my epic and when i tried to link it to my xbox account to try and login it linked but since it wasnt my actual fortnite account it wouldnt allow me to login to the account i was trying to get into and now ive lost my og account and with epics ai "assistant" i never was able to get it back and dont think i will be able to get it back

and account recovery was no help either

I switched emails to epic games in my og account and tried to log in with my xbox through epic games, but it was still linked to my other account which I dont/can't use so I just unlinked it cause I thought that could've been an issue too

it's alright though, I got 10k vbucks but I'm waiting for my other 5k

Yeah once you play any game made by epic it automatically makes an epic account for you so to unlink the account from epic and try to play fortnite for example it will make you create a new account which in my case is what happened and i didnt realize it before it was to late

@deft hazel alright so I tried logging in through xbox network after I checked the epic games servers and still says it can't log in cause of this whatever external bullcrap

I honestly don't know if it's either that my xbox acc has some restrictions or something else

well only other think i could think of is to factory reset your xbox and see if that changes things
