i have a xbox 360 battery pack. i just picked it out of my attic it is very cold but the inside of the pack is stained with orangeish/brownish color. the problem isnt just isolated to the battery compartment its also on the sticker and a bit on the sides. the exterior is completely unaffected. the batteries were already removed when i found it. it isnt crusty and looks like paint.

It is battery acid and is toxic get rid of the battery pack and if it has leaked onto the container it was in throw it away (you dont have to throw it away i just wouldnt recommend using it for anything else)
