I recently got a cat 6 Ethernet cable, and I have spectrum. I used to run 30-50 ping when I didn’t have it, and I felt like if I got Ethernet it would have worked. But as soon as i got it, nothing changed, the download speed increased, but my in game performance didn’t improve. It stayed exactly the same, and now I’m just confused as if I’m either doing something wrong or I’m missing something crucial, because if I got it for no reason I would like to know

Eternet has nothing to do with game performance. Game performance depends on ur tv or monitor refresh rate and what the devs set the game perf to

#

Series consoles are capable of at least 1440p120 if the game supports it.

using a wired connection over wireless will not always improve the performance of your connection.

Especially when there was nothing wrong with the ping you were getting on wireless to start with.
