#Need help: My Xbox account got permanently banned for a mistake — can arbitration help? Or some else

A few months ago my Xbox account got permanently banned, and I’m trying to see if there’s anything I can still do. I’m 14, so an adult will help me with the process, but I want advice from people who know more about this.

What happened:
I was playing GTA and another player started trash-talking me and my friends. I got frustrated and reacted immaturely. I said “I’ll boot you offline” and sent fake DDoS/booter images. I had no real tools, never attacked anyone, and I regret saying it. It was a dumb moment and I know it was wrong.

Microsoft permanently banned my account for this. I tried a BBB complaint but nothing changed. I’ve spent over $500 on that account and had a lot of progress, so losing it has really sucked.

Now I’m looking into AAA arbitration (with an adult filing for me). I’m not trying to fight or blame anyone — I just want to know if anyone has had success getting a permanent ban reviewed or reversed.

Any advice from people who’ve gone through this or know how it works would help a lot.

@sudden willow Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.

To help us help you, make sure to answer:

  • What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
  • **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
  • Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
