I am trying to play pvz gw2 again with my friends because of all the hype about it getting revived. I have played and purchased the game since 2016. However, whenever I play the game it says i'm on trial and have 3 hours left before I have to purchase it. I think it might be related to my xbox game pass because around a year ago I bought the gamepass and it ran out, and after it ran out I noticed that pvz gw2 became a trial game. Please help, I know I bought the game because I have it installed since 2016 and I never bought any gamepass until 2018.

I'm on xbox one, I already tried contacting support but I can't find anything specific to my problem. I tried to sign into all my accounts at once but all of them are on trial so I just uninstalled the game but it says i'm installing the trial version. Do you have Game Pass now? It's an online game so it requires a subscription to play online. When you first bought it, that would have been Gold which is now Game Pass

I dont have any gamepass now
but i never had a gamepass when I first got the game
and I could play it fine so idk
so if I do repurchase the game would I have to buy a gamepass to even play it?

Game Pass wasn't a thing n 2016. It would have been Gold

That's why you could play it back then. Gold is now Game Pass Essentials. You would need that to play online

well wouldnt i still be able to play non-online version of hte game
or at least go into the game

As long as you're still using tthe account that purchased it, you should still be able to start it
