Why is my Xbox360 ring light not working?

my xbox 360 turns on completely fine and works completley fine when connected to the TV but whenever I turn it on the ring light (and the green dot) on the front doesn't light up and i can't sync a controller.

The ring light and the middle green dot from the power button was working completely fine 2 days ago but today it just doesn't work

(The controller also doesn't sync and I don't know what the problem is)

I have tried to search for the problem and I can't find anything on it can someone please help I haven't tried to do anything to it cause I don't want to risk breaking it
