My xbox account and the email associated with it got hacked back in June. I hadn't played xbox in a while so I never even noticed until around September when I tried to recover it. The sign-in helper and recovery form were useless, but eventually I managed to somehow contact microsoft support in regards to recovering my email (I wasn't trying to recover my xbox account at this point). They said they saw the fraugulent activity, but that all they could do was permanently close the email. That was irritating but it was whatever, since it meant the hacker couldn't use my stuff. Recently, I tried to go onto my xbox account, but I was signed out and my password didn't work. Obviously I realised that my Xbox account was hacked when the email connected to it was. But the sign-in helper does nothing and the account recovery form keeps automatically replying saying it "couldn't confirm I created the account" even though I gave it my gamertag, email, card number, device id, etc. I can't find ANYWHERE a way to simpily email microsoft support for help. I know my email was shut down from September, but I still want my xbox account back. Anyone know anything I can do?

@stoic crater Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.
To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
When suppprt said all they can do was close the account this includes anything linked to it such has your xbox profile.
This is why its really important to keep your account secuirty info updated use 2 factor on your account and have recovery options set up like secondary email phone and recovery codes and not share this info Not just wuth your microsoft account but any online account
You would need to make a new account
Does that mean anything I had on the old account is gone? Like any purchased games or hours of progress?
