Me and my boyfriend are trying to play among us together. I have ultimate game pass and he doesn't. We set my account on his Xbox as home xbox. I sign out and it won't let him play any game pass games.

If I sign back in, I check and make sure it still says home xbox it does. I stayed sign into my account and we switch back to his. We open among us and he able to play online and he made the lobby. We sign of my account and I get on my Xbox on my account. He sends me a party invite, I join. He sent me a game invite and I didn't get it. He tried to invite everyone in party and I didn't get that either.

Yes ik just do the join code but still, here this as well. If he quits the game and go to home screen, trys to reopen and play online it trys to make him buy gamepass. Basically he can't play anything without me being signed in but then we can't play the game cause he signed into my account on his Xbox.

We have restart, factory reset, and followed everything we can think of or found on Google and reddit. We both have a xbox s.

Had something similar happen with my dad. I removed home xbox, clear persistent storage. Under network settings go to advanced, alternate MAC address and clear it. Console will reboot then try setting it again then go under power up press full shutdown wait couple minutes then turn it back on.

be aware before you try doing the above that you can only set your home xbox 5 times in a 12 month period
