ok so even tho I got gamepass on my brother account when I clicked the button on borderlands to go online it’s telling me to buy gamepass
And his acc set as home xbox and I restart Xbox and stuff already

Did your brother verify they have game pass membership? Is there an Essential/Premium/Ultimate tag next to his gamer tag on his profile?
