How to fix double NAT?

Im playing monster hunter rise and because its peer to peer i have a lot of connection issues people cant join my quest or even the lobby. Chnaging the port through the alternate port selection turns it to open but it goes back to strict after a restart.

double NAT happens when you have 2 routers or gateways on your network doing network address translation (NAT)

normally but not always it will be because your using a router and modem set up but do not have the modem in bridge mode
