Series x performance issues while running Expedition 33

just downloaded expedition 33, and after playing for a couple of minutes, I noticed a severe performance issue when running the game.

My console is only about 2 and ahalf years old since I first got it, and this is the first game ive had any sort of performance issues with. I've played all kinds of performance intensive games like rdr2, war zone, and most major games.

On quality mode, while I dont have a fps counter, I can safely say I only get up to around 15-20 fps, in performance mode I definitely have a much smoother experience, but my Xbox gets uncomfortably hot to the point it burns if I touch it for too long.

Is this an issue with all consoles, or is it an issue with mine. Ive not had any sort of issues with my console thus far, so im kind of worried it might be my console
