My microphone is working in party chat and game chat on my xbox series x but it for some reason will not work in the discord app on the console when I join a channel, I have all my privacy settings open etc and tried everything but no fix

if your using the 3rd party app this is not from discord and does not use voice chat or steaming

there is no discord app on xbox from discord
