Wont let me change default installation location PC GAMEPASS

I've been having this issue forever where when I try to change the file to install a game it says: "The default installation location could not be set to this folder. Please try another one." and will only let me change it to one file in my C drive.. but I need it to download in my G drive. I have tried everything I've done stuff in account settings, followed everything online, uninstalled and reinstalled
