How to claim my freind's free 3 moths gamepass?

My freind's laptop came with 3 month gamepass, he doesn't want to use it and wants to give it to me, i told him just create a Microsoft account and claim it in windows store, and then share the credentials of that account with me, but it needs a credit card as well, and he says he won't use his card. i want to know if he can give me a code or any other way to claim the game pass?

why couldnt he just send u the code?

You need a credit card has its a trail code it can also only be redeemed on the device there is no code.

It's included with his laptop, he got a notification for it, there was no code in the box

(he lives in another country). I sent him a prepaid virtual card and the cvv specifically gives him erors, any idea why? (he tried multiple times)

game pass may not be applicable for people in a different country

We're both in Europe, me Italy , and he's in UK, it's an international prepaid card, you can buy from wherever with it

1 you need a credit card not a prepaid
2 you shouldn't be asking someone to make an account for you and sharing details this is just no no
3 your in a different country and will like have regions issue

4 if you want game pass go and buy it or get a trail of your own

Such an arbitrary limitation by Microsoft.

He eventually used his own card, shared the account's credentials with me and now i have gamepass for 3 months and currently playing dead space, so it works.

(also, i trust my friend)
