Whenever I try to record a capture, it only comes out like 1-5 seconds long, is there any way to fix this?

Do you have a capture card?

I don't think so? I have no clue what that is

I do have an extra storage thing though

I believe you need a capture card for longer clips, but I'm not very kniwkedgeable in this area.

You can capture up to I think 2 min (at least 1 min) without external storage. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/friends-social-activity/share-socialize/capture-game-clips-and-screenshots
