Hi, Im looking for some advice. My younger brother keeps breaking his Xbox ones and no one has any idea why. He has gone through 5 in the last 1 month. We took them to a repair shop and we was told that the batteries melted by the guy and the shop said he’s never seen anything like it and has now explanation. The thing that confuses me the most is that he’s used rhe Xbox in the same place for a few years then suddenly they all just kept breaking. We have tried different powered leads, extension plugs, plug sockets etc even tried a whole different room and his newest one just stopped working over night (only got it yesterday) it’s well ventilated too where he has the Xbox. Any help would be very much appreciated 😄

Take to a different repair shop, because melting battery sounds made up.
