The newer xbox one controller (the one with a share button) does not have a stable connection with my 2015 xbox one. It does maintain a stable connection with PCs and mobile phones. What should I do to temporarily fix this until I get an older gen controller because upgrading my console is not an option

ive tried using a wired connection and connecting from a mobile phone doing remote play
mobile phone seems to be working but i can see it being problematic for pvp games

its like trying to use the controller far away but im like less than 1 meter away from it

Did you check the batteries? Check for controller updates?
