I remember searching this problem before and it used to not be possible but I want to see if anything changed
many people including me have their account created when they were kids and the Xbox account email belongs to their parents. Now I would like to change this email to my own, is there any actual way to do this now?
If it’s possible to safely change email can someone explain now please or direct me in the right direction?

To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)

- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
Changing the email is possible, but it changes the email to the entire Microsoft account, so if your parents use Microsoft for anything, it would also change for their stuff, not just yours.
That’s what I thought it was still like just checking
2025 and there’s still no official way of changing email 🤣
Accounts will never be seperated. Changing the email is possible, but it's all or nothing. You can't just change parts of something.
Tbf I don’t think they used Microsoft for anything else, definitely not emails
What else can Microsoft account be linked to? Just a few ideas
Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word, XBox, I'm sure there's other things too.
