Is there any way to use xbox cloud gaming with out adding to home screen on ipad

Devices restrictions won't allow me to use the default way of accessing the xbox cloud gaming website so I use a proxy to bypass that, but when I attempt to add the website to the home screen I dose not work do to the proxy although the web page works fine in safari. Can I bypass the requirement of adding to home screen on ios?
I have found no similar problems

you should be able to just use safari and going to xbox.com/play with out adding to home screen.
