voice sounds different when playing remotely

when i try to play remotely on my pc my friends say my voice sounds weird in party chat

one thing i noticed when it started was that in my sound input it started listing my headset with my controller as “Headphones (3- Xbox Controller)”

before the problem started the “3-“ wasn’t there

xbox app on pc also crashes when i try to unmute
