Oblivion Remastered Syncing Issues

I have an extremely serious issue with syncing while playing oblivion remastered. Ive lost over 100 hours of gameplay twice now due to the game “resyncing” to a point with old saves. Please help me understand why this occurs and how to avoid it happening a third time
