I have a family account with my profile and my dads profile
I am on my xbox and he is on his

whos home xbox should be whos
which should be MY profiles home xbox and which should be his if we want to be able to play together on games I HAVE from gamepass

we want to play grounded 2, he got a new xbox so we could since his old one was outdated, I need help.

You need to set YOUR account to Home on the console he's using.

Nothing. It's just YOUR account that needs to be home XBox on the his console.

That has nothing to do with anything.

Did he install the game to his XBox or is he trying through cloud gaming? I'm asking because cloud isn't shareable and he needs to have the game on his actual system.

but also when we booted up his new xbox and signed in there were no games on it

Games aren't automatically installed. He needs to reinstall them if he owns them.

Right. It only matters that your account is set as home on the XBox he's using.

You may need to login to make it detect, and then log him in.
