genuinely making me go crazy
is it a new controller ?
it will wear in with time
had it since jan this year
but idk if it's wear and tear considering it goes and comes back
new controller sometimes squeak in the triggers and will wear in with use.
Blowing on it will make it squeak more because you're drying out the joints. there's no good way to relube the joints. just use it more and hope the friction wears downs the squeaking part.
damn then I've basically screwed myself over then cause i tried blowing in on it a lot
thought it helped cause a squeaky noise came from my ps5 controller and blowing in on it helped
heard using like isopropyl alcohol would help is that true?
that's definitely true since I've been doing it i was wondering
why it was happening quicker too
the squeaking on the ps5 controller is probably the gear for the adaptative trigger. probably squeaking from dust/dirt on the gear. so blowing helped clean that off. on the xbox controller, it's the spring that's squeaking. which cleaning won't really make a difference.
do you know what might've caused that spring to start to squeak
can be many different things mixed together.
ah ok
just checked again and it's less a squeaky noise more like a stick to it
and that's what's making the noise
if that's the case is it still like before
only after depression
like one sharp sticky noise it doesn't stick down though
sorry if i mislead you my paranoia lied to me
does this change anything?
Yes, isopropyl alcohol can help clean whatever making it sticky
