I just got an xbox series controller second hand, although should be working well, and when plugging it into my pc via a usb c cable, both joysticks say they are being pushed down and to the left, I've done lots of troubleshooting, plugged it in through different cables on different ports, I've updated it, uninstalled drivers reinstalled them but nothing seems to have fixed it.

Sounds like a bad controller. Do you have another controller to try? Even if there’s stick drift or broken buttons, it’ll test if the drivers are working correctly. If the other controller is doing the same thing as the series controller, then it’s probably not a bad controller.

You can try testing the controller on another device.
