@prime void Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.
To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
I assume you bought it used and not new from a store?
Assuming that's the case, not really anything you can do and you were probably ripped off. The OG XBox isn't even supported anymore, so afaik you can't even pay to have it repaired unless you take it to a repair shop that isn't sanctioned by XBox. And in that case, you're likely better off just buying another OG XBox, since the costs of repairing it would very likely be more then buying one outright.
I bought it from a thrift store for 20$ I expected this but idk if there’s anything I could do, I heard the clock compactor could be messed up?
We're not allowed to discuss self-repair on the server, so literally the only thing I can suggest is a repair shop.
Oh, I see why as tha is something Xbox doesn’t want you to do
Because there’s a lot of dumb people on the internet.
Anyways, your best bet is a retro game shop. They normally have repair services. A normal repair shop may not have the parts needed for replacement.
My personal preference is the retro game shop, because I feel like they respect the gaming platform.
