My controller doesn’t connect

I go to accessories with a steering wheel I have connected and press connect controller and then press that thing on the controller it flashes for some time and then stops and never connects

I have Xbox series s and I opened it with my g29 steering wheel but my controller didn’t connect so I went to accessories and did what it said although the controller never connected.

To fix it I tried some times then put new batteries and lastly went to this discord

i fixed it, both of my baterries were dead and the new ones for some reason

maybe tried to inform me that they are dead
