Display is 16:10, but Xbox Series X is using it with 16:9 resolution, everything is too tall and narrow, simply unusable.
There is no option to pick resolution, only 720/1080/1440p. Nothing I can do with monitor OSD.
So basically Microsoft tells all people in my situation to buy another TV/display? Well maybe that is something to consider, it's getting old, but seriously.. what if I buy another 16:10 display? It's much better than 16:9
I coud bear 16:9 on 16:10 if it was black bars on bottom & top of the screen instead of the streching effect.
Interestingly launching Edge browser cuts pixels from all sides, though I wasn't focusing whether text is stretched, probably it wasnt.

Console will only display 16:9. U cant change the aspect ratio

aspect ratio is set by the display not the device, the answer to this is to change your screen aspect ratio to 16:9 i never seen a display that is not able to change that.
you also mentioned there is no option to set a resolutions then went on to list the resolutions that are available?
Are you using a ultra wide screen or something?
