It was working fine a week ago but now says i need to upgrade my membership everytime i play a owned game that needs online for multiplayer even tho i just redeemed my membership for 12 months not even a month ago it worked the day before yesterday fine for about 20 minutes then went back to doing that i removed my account from my xbox and logged back in and its still not working its really frustrating

There's a known issue related to losing access to game pass despite paying for it. Dev teams are working on it, and the workaround for the moment is to toggle autopay (or auto renewal I guess?) off then on, or on then off (depending on your current setting).
