I need help with updating my xbox 360

i connected my xbox to the internet and tried to update but it wouldnt update, then i tried updating offline using a USB stick

i unzipped the system_update_17559 file using winrar then uploaded the $systemupdate file to the usb stick directory and put it into the xbox, it starts updatinf then fails again, why does this keep happening?

My current xbox update is 17489

Now do i unplug the usb and put it in the xbox?

you download the file from that link xbox.com save it to your desktop then extract the file and save it to your desktop you then copy the unzipped file to the root direct of your USB stick the $SystemUpdate

Okay now i got the file from the link, and extracted it to the desktop, i reformatted by usb stick, do i put the file in the usb directory?

It just gave me a status code:

4451 - 4497 - 1600 - 2446 - C810 - 1004

“Cant process the update, if the problem persists, go to www.xbox.com/support”

the console, may have a hardware issue the update will only sort out software issues, if there is a hardware issue then you need to get it repaired or just replace the console likely.

My main goal is to put an email on my xbox avatar since it doesnt have an email, a few years back i updated the console by sending it to a shop and they did it for me

So i think it can be updated but im probably missing something

Is there a way for me to put an email in my Xbox avatar without Xbox live?

when i was a kid i didnt know what an email is so i just played offline i never had an xbox live account

yeah, i understand you havent been able to turn a offline profile into a Microsoft account for a good 5 years.

it maybe even 10 years now.

I thought u needed an email to create a xbox live acct. Its what i did in late 2000s.

so before Xbox live was a big thing and for some years after you could have offline profiles with the option to turned your offline profile into a gamertag linked too a Microsoft account.

Apparently my xbox is modded (i checked with ChatGPT about the status code) so im gonna have to send it to a store to fix it
