Every day, when I turn it on and play whatever game, after some time it just disconnects from wifi. I wouldnt mind as much if it didnt do it EVERY SINGLE DAY, I really want it to be fixed as soon as possible before I decide thats it for the console.

@bronze arrow Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.

To help us help you, make sure to answer:

  • What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
  • **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
  • Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)

If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.

Ive tried asking others, searching in the official website and all but I get no answer that fixes it. Recently its been doing it more and more

#

I tried searching for updates, replugging stuff, forgetting the wifi then pairing it again, connecting a lan cable (which i barely use for it), I even tried other random settings people told me to try toggling

so it even disconnects when using Lan ?

What is “LAN” not what it stnds for but how do you “use” LAN i keep seeing people say that

It’s the internet wire, the opposite of wireless (WiFi).

I dont use lan

#

I dont wanna bother my parents into buying one

I’m assuming that means, you haven’t tried restarting the router?

bronze arrow
#

It does this every day

Without replacing the router or the console, you probably need to try LAN

bronze arrow
#

Until then, i have no fix for it

Try clearing the alternate MAC address on the console. If you haven’t tried that already, it’s worth a shot.

#

FYI if you’re not sure where that setting is. Network>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear>Restart

@bronze arrow What wifi settings have you tried changing

Everything

I dont wanna mess that much with the router itself and every other device works normally with the wifi, its only my xbox with that issue

#

And just in case i need to mention, it dosent disconnect at specific times or conditions, it just happens

You could set up a wifi extender close to where your Xbox is then run an Ethernet cable from it

It’s a lot easier then running it from the router to the Xbox as it’s closer and will take up less space
