I am getting very low Xbox speeds today, like a 7 gb update hasn’t finished, my download speed is fluctuating, a few days ago I downloaded a 200 gb game in a few hours, it’s been more than a few hours and a 7 gb update hasn’t finished.

Sounds like your Wi-Fi is acting up, bro. I'd seriously check with your internet provider to see if there's any maintenance or issues in your area. Could be something on their end slowing things down. If their site doesn't show any outages, you might wanna give them a call or even look into switching to a better plan if your speeds are that bad.

that’s what I’m confused about, a day ago my speeds were amazing I downloaded a 200 gb game in 2-3 hours, though I was getting packet loss while playing Call of Duty so I complained to my ISP and they called me yesterday saying they optimised the line so I shouldn’t be getting packet loss anymore.

Could also just be the area you're in. I live in butt "flip" nowhere myself, and my internet provider claims I'm getting X GB download speed, but I get way less than what they're saying — and that’s just because I live in butt "flip" nowhere. So you're not alone when it comes to super slow download speeds. You might need to get a technician to give you a new router, some Wi-Fi boosters, or try hard-wiring your Xbox. I don’t think it’s an Xbox issue unless it’s only happening on your Xbox. If it is, I’d say wire it — and if it’s still acting up, I honestly don’t know what's going on. But I’m pretty sure it’s just your Wi-Fi.

Itd still likely be your wifi since there would be more than just a hand full of people who are having the problem, there would be hundreds or thousands who would be having the problem if it's on Microsofts end but no one is really talking about it. It could very well be Microsoft but it's unlikely.

@fathom wigeon sorry for the ping, just don't know if you look at this or not still. do you at all play games while installing things? like it tells you but some people dont care to read it but wanted to see if you were aware of you playing any type of game it will make the download speed drop a lot.

I am experiences this too from time to time. It then just won’t get above 80mb/s and I have a 1Gb/s connection. Usually my download speed is about 850mb/s. And it has nothing to do with WiFi, my Xbox is connected via Ethernet cable.
I have to restart the console multiple times and in most cases this works. But in 1 out of 5 times nothing helps
