Messaging people outside of my friends list no longer works. I've already checked my privacy settings as well. I've tried with the Xbox Series X and the PC/Mobile Xbox app but I just get a error saying "Message failed to send. " a option to resend is given but it returns the same error.

Someone suggested to wait 24 hours in case there's a messaging Limit, but I've already waited 2 days and I'm still unable to send messages to anyone outside my friends list. Notably, Xbox group chats still work and I can still read new messages sent to me from players outside of my friends list

Thanks for the response! I've had a number connected to my account for many years now 🙂. I'm seeing some other people have this issue too so I'm glad I'm not alone on this problem I'm having. Just hoping this will be resolved from Xbox's end if it's becoming more common of an issue.
