I bought a 60 minute trial of Phasmophobia on Xbox Series S and it won't let me in, it only lets me go offline, why can't I play online?

It’s not a trial, it’s Preview which is the same Early Access games.
But reach out to the Phasmophia team, maybe online isn’t live yet on Xbox.
