didn’t know what else to do but I thought it worth a shot,
I had my Xbox one s unplugged for a bit (I didn’t take it anywhere and no one touched it) and tried to turn it back on but my screen never turned on, (cord isn’t the problem, I tried multiple and the hdmi ports are fine) most of the time it stays black but sometimes if I let it sit long enough, my screen turns on and the troubleshoot screen pops up and I’ve tried hitting all the options besides the usb one and it hasn’t changed anything. Today I tried again and noticed my disk tray was out of place and I put it back, when that happened the screen came back on again so I don’t know if it’s because of the collapsed disk tray or something else. My controller also doesn’t connect to the Xbox when it’s turned on. Anyone know anything?

Reset the display settings. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/display-sound/tv-or-monitor-screen-is-blank-while-connected
It was not display settings because the troubleshoot screen comes up perfectly fine the rare time that it does
I didn’t screw with the display settings or anything when I had it unplugged
So it shows the boot up screen, but then goes black screen on the dashboard/settings?
My monitor doesn’t turn on or indicate that it’s plugged into anything, the rare chance of me letting it sit for 20 minutes or so, the troubleshoot screen will show up but that’s it
