your IP isnt linked to the xbox app

#

your router will assign a IP address to any device that connects to it. If someone is going to pull your IP there isnt any infomation that can get from that.

But wouldn't the Xbox app base on the ip your device you're on or the app is download on so if I'm using a vpn on the device would the app be located on it?

its network nothing to do with xbox or the xbox app. If your using a VPN then your using a VPN but this has 0 to do with xbox or the App.

It does I want to hide my ip while using the Xbox app

okay, but using a VPN or trying to hide your IP is not going to stop a DDOS attack. In other words you do not need to do what your doing.

#

Any how if you want to know your IP you can run ipconfig in Command Prompt

Using a vpn will prevent ddos attacks or ip pulls vpn's hide your ip and mask it with their own
