I went to plug my xbox in i could hear normal noises from my headphones in my controller but no video on the tv

the link explains everything, Sending a picture is not going to help because we all know what a HDMI port looks like they all the same. You can look your self if it looks damged. It proberly does not but that does not mean there isnt a hardware issue. Or it could be a software issue. The page will explain everything

The point I making was for you to show us a picture of your Xbox HDMI port will not help us to see if its brokon it could be insternal or a other issue completely.
95% of the hdmi port is inside the console it can not be seen

I would advise the reset and the offline update if you not already do that but yes that may just be what is needed unfortually 😦
