A couple years ago, I purchased Red Dead Redemption 2 and had the game installed for a while until I got an Xbox Series S (Previously had a One S) in December 2024

I've been wanting to get back into the game and planned to re download it and finish 100%ing like I planned to do before, but the game will not show up in my library and is not listed as owned in the shop

Are you sure you purchased it on the same account you are playing with? Often when people report this it's because they purchased on another account and the previous console was set as Home Xbox for that account. Then when they move to a new console, it's no longer in their library.

Yes, i am using the same account I purchased the game with.

you can check on your account order history online if it shows there you need to contact support, if not then you haven't brought the game on that account.

Just checked, I guess I forgot that I bought it on my old account.

Just curious, how was I able to play it on my old Xbox with my current account if it was purchased with a different account? Something to do with the game being stored directly on the console I'm assuming?

If both accounts are yours, you can always add it to your new console and set it as that account's Home Xbox
