#Gamepass Family share not allowing for online play

As the title says, I can't use online features whilst sharing gamepass with a family member, I can download games but not play online

It's an xbox one x, I've tried restarting it, unplugging it and plugging it back in again, and I've yet to find anywhere with a fix for this issue

what happens when you try to play online

It asks me to buy gamepass

And I've double checked to make sure my family members account is set as the home xbox on my console

so you can not even start the game?

I can start the game

For some reason it allows me to download them

#

But say if I go onto something like idk I'll use saints row the third as an example and try activate co op campaign it immediately takes me to a screen to pick a gamepass plan

check what version of games your friend as not all versions include muitplayer

I own saints row the third, it's the remastered version

But it does the same thing with police simulator from gamepass and doom eternal immediately goes into offline mode

Not sure if Microsoft changed how family share works when it comes to gamepass

those games are offline games they have no muitplayer

Sharing as nothing to do with family, you need to set the home xbox correctly

yes you can download games with out gamepass

Just because you can download a game dies not mean you can play it.

But I don't own it personally the person I'm sharing with owns it

I honestly don't get what's wrong I can download and play games off gamepass, it just will not let me play online without asking me to buy gamepass

thats werid u should be able to access coop/mp especially if ur fam member made ur xbox their home xbox right?

Only thing I've not tried at this point is removing the other persons account, as I don't have the means to add it again should I need to

On police simulator and saints row 3 remastered it says I'm not subscribed to gold
