Headset chat mixer grayed and cant change it

I tried everything like updating the controller multiple times , restarting the console and everything isnt working, i had this headphones for a long time it worked and i could change the chat mixer and today i plugged it and its just not working, should i buy a new one or?

Btw its not an headphones 🎧 no its an wired earbuds idk if it makes any difference

Nvm I found a solution, it's u must put the headset cord slowly like veryyyy slow idk how that fixes it
