#xbox 360 cd not working in series x

so im trying to help my friend he tries to insert xbox 360 games (they're backwards compatitable i checked) but they dont work,
it opens the blu ray player and the cd is in perfect condition,also it reads it like a video instead of a game,he also checked other cds and same results.
please help

Does the Xbox have internet?

I know of that only happening when the Xbox isn’t online and game isn’t installed.

Try remote installing the game, and then hit play game with the disc inserted.
