#ive tried everything for a year to recover my account and i need to ask questions.

long story short my friends account was hacked. nothing was deleted or any information stolen, the only thing that was changed was all the contact info and any form of ownership of the account causing the account to get shut down completley. cant sign in, cant verify ownership, cant use the outlook email to at least transfer information to another profile, 10 years of gaming just gone in the blink of an eye and thousands of dollars stuck in a limbo. xbox support is completely useless, everytime we get in contact with an agent and get close to recovering the account, xbox support cuts the line and we never get a call back or a case number to review status of the appeals. we feel out of options which is why im here now asking for help. any and all help is appreciated, even if we cant recover the account and the games, the email is a need to get 3rd party game progress such as fortnite or apex which have both had thousands of dollars sunk into them. no one can help you recover an account that is not yours. Your friend needs to fill out the account recovery process. If the account can not be recovered then they will need to make a new account. That's why its important not to share account details and keep detailsd updated.
