Remake and remaster are similar. Remake tends to change part of the story, but not necessarily a requirement. Main difference how much of the core game was changed. Is it QOL upgrades or a whole different mechanic.

I watched some gameplay of the introduction level, just to get a feel for how it would be

I kinda find it funny that about 2 months ago Xbox released Avowed, which was kinda like Elder Scrolls, but also wasn't (in reality, it's another fantasy RPG, but based off of the Pillars of Eternity series)

and people were talking about Elder Scrolls for this game. now we got Elder Scrolls

Xbox does own a lot of studios known for making RPGs.

Mainly Bethesda Game Studios (which is a major one), Blizzard Entertainment (too many to count) Obsidian Entertainment (yes), Playground Games (making Fable rn), inXile Entertainment (Wasteland is a good example), Mojang (Minecraft produced a number) and World's Edge (Age of series). Plus, thrown in Coalition if you want for Gears Tactics (but I won't. that was a one off).

Alright, I'm 6 hours in and I've done a few main story missions and fully completed the Arena and joined the Dark Brotherhood. Game is very solid, performance in the open world is crap tho. It's fine in buildings/dungeons and in cities

Nah it didn't feel like a Elder Scrolls game, more like Outer Worlds without the gunplay.

RX 6600 can barely handle this on low or medium. Might need to drop resolution or rely on xcloud again. Feeling RPG burnout though so might wait for some patches.

But yeah UE5 feels like a bad time for any game. Oh well, signs of the times.

I don't expect to get a 9070 XT anytime soon since I got a PS5 instead for half the cost with Astrobot. Discs still drop to cheap prices so will just be more patient with newer releases

I've noticed a couple visual stutters, but the most frequent visual glitch I've seen (on series X) is that my character keeps trying to stand up on her horse for a second every time she mounts it 😂

Like she'll get on the horse, the standing animation will flash for a second on top of the horse, and then she'll be sitting down and ready to go

Get it from the official reseller sites, they're offering small discounts. Eventually it will keep dropping anyway, newer games are going to cost more going forward. Look at PS5 and Switch 2 RRP prices.

It's at a price where you can pick up certain older titles to own and play them at your own pace and resell it or keep for replaying/collection.

Stacking it for years gives better value but not for everyone and it will go to waste if you don't use it regularly ofc.

To play Oblivion in one month though for £15 rental, not sure I can do that. It will take 100h+, no point rushing it because of time pressure

I turned it up ended up going back to adept for now. The difficulty spike of expert and master are not worth it. Way too tough. At least starting out. Like enemies just become sponges and 3 shot you.

Yeah you just have to watch your stamina and make sure you don’t go over what you have

I’ve done all of the guilds on my same character. Thieves guild was a bit of pain as a warrior build but I just bought a lot of lock picks to get through it .

It's specifically the one where you become a Duke of Mania or Dementia. the trophy list was too easy so I didn't think about reading specifically on if it was a missable.

There are a few missables, so be ready

In the main game, there's reportedly one potential missable for the Thieves Guild quest with ||stealing the elder scroll||, then a second pair of two based off branching paths for Shivering Isles. The Shivering Isles one is the one I missed on accident, so I had to speedrun it for 4 hours just to finish it correctly.

I made a manual save after you do the branching path lol

but thankfully, when I did a new save the game was extremely easy, and I purposefully did not level up my character to make the character difficulty a breeze. Played mostly on Adept

the achievement/trophies in question for Shivering Isles is specifically where you are asked if you want to ||Become the Duke of Mania or Dementia. Before you actually pick is where you should do the manual save. Anything afterway is linear achievements/trophies||

funny how the remakes specifically sticks to the original achievement list, which is basically doing the major side stories and getting promoted, compared to Skyrim where I know that related to doing that and other stuff

Oh I left a boat load of content left on the table.
I just did the achievements because I’ve played the game so many times.

I mainly quit because of 1 reason. Bethesda botched the house customization and you can’t place items because they launch across the room.

I would’ve kept going to do the majority of the content, but if I couldn’t show my house off with all of the uniques, then I wasn’t gonna do it.
