#Can't play borderlands 3 on pc after downloading on game pass

Played the game multiple times but I saw the complete edition was on game pass so decided to get it. When i turn it on i get an error saying "Your Settings Have Failed to save. Would You Like to Try Saving Again?". I click yes, it goes back to the same error, I click no it does the same exact thing. Any way to fix this?

Tried:
Turning off ransomware protection
Making my xbox games folder an exception from antivirus
Deleting borderlands 3 folder in Documents/My games
