Try going though the calibration tool in the acessories app sometimes you can counter the drift. Otherwise you would need to replace the controller

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
Select the 3 little dots the Recalbration options

that might have helped, the accessories app does need to be installed from the Microsoft store I not sure if you have the calibration option on PC.
