so i recently just exchanged my nintendo from xbox series s. I've been playing mc dungeons for a while and i wanna transfer it's data to xbox. (and yes i connected my xbox account to nintendo) so when i bought the standard gamepass and downloaded mc dungeons it didn't save for some reason? only the season levels, and achievements did. I had a lot of progress there, and i cant afford to lose any of them. i want to continue my progress!!!

If I remember correctly, Minecraft Dungeon's cross-save worked by uploading heroes to the cloud and then downloading them. So I assume you'd have to manully upload your hero to the cloud on the Switch and then download it on the Xbox. I remember doing some cross-save between PC and console.

bru i already gave away my switch so i could get the xbox
how do i even download it if it's with someone else?
because i sold it, meaning i had to restart the switch, delete everything and make it look brand new

I don't know if Nintendo backs up online saves.
When restoring a console for sale, it will erase all local storage.
I don't know if borrowing someone's Switch, loading the game, and logging in with your account would download your save.
This can happen on any platform :/

The Hero has to be manually uploaded/downloaded for Cross-Save in this game. If you didn't upload it on your Switch first it won't work.
Check if you uploaded it: In the character select screen press Y to open Hero Settings, press RB to select an empty slot and try "Download Hero" here.
If you didn't upload it back then I'm afraid you're out of luck.
Last resort idea would be if you still have a running Switch Online Membership and a friend that still owns the console with the game (in case you had a physical copy, a digital one will remain in your account) you could ask them to borrow it, download the Cloud Save there and restore your Hero data from there.
