hey i need help, my xbox one controller cant connect to my laptop, i tried conencting it with bluetooth, holding the button that is in front of the controller and trying to find the device on laptop but it still wont show up

my xbox controller is 2.3 version
i bought my xbox one back in 2015 and it came with the controller

those controllers do not have bluetooth
bluetooth wasn't added to xbox controllers till the xbox one S in 2016. You will need to use a Data USB cable or the wireless adapter for windows

you can not tell by looking at the cable they look the same.

i found it along with other usb cables so i thought it might work
