I have done a couple things to try to fix it which is disconnecting and connecting all cables back again what I mean by all is cables from the xbox and the drive hub and nothing happend I moved the drive hub cable to the different ports of the xbox nothing happend I restarted my xbox multiple times while doing all of that and ive changed my power options to sleep mode and no I have not searched the error code because I dont know the code and I have serached up the problem but nothing helps it told be to do the same things i have tried to do to fix but nothing happend
try plugging it into a PC and formatting it too NTFS first
how do I do that
just plug it into your PC with the cable
go to This PC right click the drive and then choose format and select NTFS
if the drive doesnt show up on PC then there is nothing wrong with the drive or cable.
it shows up it says " NTFS (Default)"
Fyi u cant play series optimized games off the game drive
fyi?
For your information
ahh alrr but I dont thats the point the point is that the storage is not appearing on my xbox and I need the space
Did u try another usb on the console
what do you mean another usb
Another usb port
for the hard drive or like just in general
Ur game drive
yeah Ive connected it in all three of them
So none of them work?
and after that I restarted my xbox
yup
If the drive already has been formatted to ntfs it should be fine. Try formatting the drive again
how do I do that
Space raiders told u earlier
Yes u click on start
its giving me a warning that "Formatting will erase ALL dara on this disk" what data
Yes
it says "format complete" after the hard drive made sum weird noises lol
Once done try it on ur console
Any
No
okay well nothing has happend
Did u brought it new?
Did u go to storage options on ur console
are you actually going into your settings system storage to view the drive on your xbox
Not sure im just clicking the xbox button on my controller going to "my games and apps" then I click "see all" then I go down to "manage" after I click on "storage devices"
Yes
are you connecting the drive directly to the xbox USB and not a USB hub?
what do you mean? it connected rightnow at the back of my xbox to the drive hub
wish I could take a picture in here lol
Plug drive directly into the console
I think it is
you keep mentioning a drive hub what do you mean by drive hub
are you using a USB adapter to connect the drive to your xbox because you do not have enough USB ports?
on the box where I bought my storage things it says "gaming drive hub for xbox" so im just calling it an drive hub i dont know what it is lol mb
okay
im using the cables that came with the box
Have you already tried connecting the drive to a other xbox USB port and restart your xbox since you formatted it on PC?
Immerse yourself in the game with Game Drive Hub for Xbox. Build a premium Game Vault with 8TB of storage, while the bold design of the hub complements your whole Xbox gaming station. The built-in LED light bar illuminates your gaming center in Xbox green, while dual front-facing USB-C and USB-A ...
Is it like this?
no not yet atleast I was thinking of doing that but I dont have another one and my cousin with an xbox lives kinda far but I had that in mind
restart you xbox
try a differnt USB port
So connect to a different area then restart my xbox or the other way around restart it then connect it somewhere else
You may want to restart your xbox to refresh it if you just plugged it in since formatting it on PC for it to show up
If that does not work then the USB port could be bust so try a differnt usb port and make sure to restart.
Do you have a other external drive that you could use to test the USB ports?
I think I do
Does the drive lit up?
I perty sure the drive is working then and your just not seeing what your expecting
I guess yeah its on i know that and sometimes it makes weird noises and it seems like its also on because I can hear the fan lol
if the drive was faulty then it would not have shown up on your PC and its lighting up on your xbox so its getting power
yeah I have no idea whats wrong
does a flashdrive work?
it as to be over 128gb and USB 3.0
not sure if it has that do I still try it?
what are you expecting to happen that is not happening?
Xbox wont recognize and usb that has lower than that amount
I am expecting to get more storage in my xbox
When you go to your games and apps you should see the storage expanded there in the bottom left it say All storage and a number under it
yes I have no storage at all from my xbox and I only have 3 games
I only have 16.2 GB free
in that case I would get the drive exchanged.
okay ill probably do that today and come back to let yall know
I would recommend that u check the usb ports on ur console are working
how do I do that
okay thanks for the remimder ill grab my flash drive rn and test it
