#Can a monitor cause a console/games to crash?

I recently got a new console because my last one wasn’t working well. Since then, I’ve noticed my Xbox consistently crashes when playing Watch Dogs Legion, Marvel Rivals, and a few other games. After troubleshooting for around a week, and I’m wondering if it’s realistic that my monitor could be causing these issues?

Replaced hdmi cords, tried different displays, tried with and without hardware connected ex) external hard drive and controller hard wired
