I was playing a game and the console just switched off. When I go to turn it back on, the power button lights-up, and I hear the start-up sound, but then it just switches off again.
I don't think it's to do with any overheating failsafe, as I cooled it down when it first occurred, despite it being only room temperature; I also tried doing the system reset, involving holding down the controller-pair, disc eject and power buttons for a period of time and nothing has happened.
The hardware might need cleaning, as there is a lot of dust I can see, but I don't have the right screwdriver to open up the shell, but assuming this isn't the problem does anyone have any other ideas?
