Series X or S

So I'm finally looking to upgrade from my One S, however im not sure which new gen is best for me. Im am more of a casual gamer and im not too concerned about having the best of the best etc etc. Price isnt really so much of an issue im just wondering whether its actually worth paying extra for the series x rather than the 1 tb s, especially since I dont have a 4k monitor or tv and again i play much more casually.

Any advice or help would be really appreciated thank you
